Gemstar-TV Guide Europe is a wholly owned subsidiary of parent company Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMST). Gemstar-TV Guide Europe (“The Company”), has three main lines of business:

1. Development and marketing of interactive program guide (“IPG”) technologies, services and products for the cable, satellite and consumer electronics sectors.
   
   
2. Technology development and licensing to consumer electronics manufacturers to enhance and simplify consumer access to television entertainment, and
   
   
3. Data solutions and services for television networks, service providers, industry analysts and intellectual property organizations.

The Company has been operating in Europe since the 1990s.

The News Corporation Limited owns 42.5% of Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc.
