Macrovision’s GUIDE Plus+ Electronic Program Guide Featuring HÖRZU Launches in the German Market

Hamburg and Santa Clara, Calif., August 29, 2008 - Macrovision® Solutions Corporation (NASDAQ: MVSN) and Axel Springer announced today the availability of the HÖRZU-branded version of Macrovision’s GUIDE Plus+® Electronic Program Guide (EPG) in Germany. With today’s launch, HÖRZU listings content\ and reviews will be delivered directly to viewers’ TV screens from the GUIDE Plus+ EPG.

Macrovision’s GUIDE Plus+ system is designed for the new generation of digital products such as digital TVs, DVD-recorders and personal video recorders (PVRs). It is an eight-day EPG built directly into consumer electronics products, allowing consumers to quickly and easily navigate, sort, select, and schedule television programming for viewing or recording, simply by pressing a button. The GUIDE Plus+ system is already a feature of the digital recording products of major consumer electronics manufacturers, with over a million units deployed in the German market.

HÖRZU, owned by Axel Springer, is Germany’s largest weekly listings magazine with over 60 years of experience in guiding viewers to programming available on TV and radio. For the GUIDE Plus+ system, HÖRZU’s team of editorial specialists will deliver daily recommendations of the very best programs to watch in six major categories: Movies, Sport, Children, Entertainment, News and Other.  HÖRZU’s experts will watch, evaluate and rate the available programs, giving GUIDE Plus+ users the information they need to plan their viewing time effectively.  In addition to providing GUIDE Plus+ users with insightful reviews and helpful synopses, HÖRZU will also provide movie ratings. Additionally, HÖRZU’s logo will feature permanently on the GUIDE Plus+ EPG.
